Clinical study of pranoprofen(Flanin^(®)) on chronic painful diseases in the field of orthopedic surgery.

Abstract
|
|
|
The new NSAID, Pranoprofen(Flanin®) is very effective and safe to relieve pain and limitation of motion in chronic painful disease in the field of orthopedic surgery.
Total 32 cases of chronic painful disease were treated with pranoprofen at Department of Orthopedic Surgery, Seoul National University Hospital, Seoul, Korea from July, 1989 to July, 1990. The clinical results were as follows
1. Pranoprofen was administrated by P.O at daily dose 225mg(75mgx3 times) for 4 week.
2. In the overall efficacy improvement rating, cases rated as "slight improvement" or better were 84.4%.
3. In the improvement of patient self disability assessment and pain score rating, cases rated better than "slight improvement" were 81.3%.
4. Side effect were not observed except GI disturbance in 4 cases and nausea, edema in 1 case that was disappeared after discontinuity.
